Redline for :iconalissad:
Original: [link]

Most of the basic proportions in the original drawing were accurate, which is great! You're headed in the right direction. Most of my corrections were related to detail and how certain features are place and relate to each other.

I'll quickly address the few proportional issues I did notice. The head in the original drawing was a bit large, as were the hands. These are both common mistakes that I'm actually still quite prone to myself (I keep thinking I may have made the hands on my redline a bit too large, actually). The best solution to this problem is to keep a lot of references handy. I've provided one somewhat similar to the pose you drew at the end of this description.

Now I'll address the rest of my alterations, starting from the head and working down.

That's a pretty tricky angle to draw the head at, so kudos for being ambitious! The overall shape of the head could be a bit less blocky and more like an egg shape. For the placement of the facial features, a good reference is a life-saver! I'll link you to the one I used at the end of the description. Notice how I added more space between the nose and mouth.

Now for the neck/shoulder region. You didn't necessarily draw anything dramatically anatomically incorrect; the main issue is that the lack of detail makes it look like she has no neck! Showing where the collarbones protrude and giving some definition to the musculature of the area gives more context to the anatomy and helps the viewer infer where everything is, even if the neck is mostly concealed by the subject's hair.

The arms in your original drawing were nicely proportioned (though they could use a liiiittle more detail). The main thing that needed fixing was the hands, aka most artists' nightmare (seriously man, people really seem to hate drawing hands). Something that helps me a LOT when drawing hands is to figure out where the palm is before bothering with the fingers. Notice on my initial sketch on the right how I first blocked out where the palms were before adding the fingers. This helps give the hand some form and prevents the fingers from starting too high/low on the hand. And of course, when in doubt, reference your own hands.

Not much to say about the body. The overall shape was good! The main thing I fixed was the placement of the breasts (they were a little low), and how they relate to the arms. The breasts should flow into the armpits.

Moving down to the hips, I fixed the perspective on the crotch area. From this angle (slightly looking down on the subject), the pelvic region would overlap the legs, not the other way around.

Finally, the legs and feet. The proportions were nice! The legs were just positioned a little oddly. Again, when in doubt, use reference. Nice job with the basic shape of the feet though!

That's about it, I believe. Please let me know if you have any questions, and critique is welcomed and encouraged!
I hope you find this helpful!
